TDP To Prefer BC Candidate Over Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy?
As winning the elections is the need of the hour, the party is said to be not shying away from making big decisions if needed
The grand old Telugu Desam Party is at a crucial juncture. The party recorded the worst performance in the last elections and it has to win the upcoming elections for its survival. Following this, the party is making the moves right to see that everything goes well in its favour.
As winning the elections is the need of the hour, the party is said to be not shying away from making big decisions if needed. As part of this, a few senior leaders might lose tickets considering the importance of winning the elections.
If we have to take anything from the media reports, former Chief Minister’s son Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy might not be given a ticket this time as the TDP might pick the other communities this time while granting the tickets.
Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy who won the Kurnool Lok Sabha seat in the combined state in 2004 and 2009. After recording two straight wins he recorded two straight defeats in 2014 and 2019.
The YSRCP gave tickets to the BC community in both terms and saw them win on both occasions. The party winning the two elections proved the strategy right for it.
Having seen this TDP is also reportedly thinking of the same and the leadership might prefer the BC communities and it might sing the BC tunes. If this happens then it is a big blow to Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy.
Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy comes from a Political family and his father was the Chief Minister of the combined state. Considering this his family might be given an Assembly ticket to pacify them.
