5 Lakh Crore Scam In Telangana: What’s Happening?

Telangana politics have the reputation of getting heated up every and again. We are witnessing a similar situation now as BRS working KTR is having a series of hard allegations against the Revanth Reddy government.

Earlier in the press conference today, KTR stated that the Reddy government is converting industrial lands into real estate properties, and the overall volume of this scam is rupees 5 lakh crore.

Shortly after KTR made this shocking allegation against the Congress government in Telangana, the representatives hit back at the same as minister Sreedhar Babu had a strong reaction.

Of the 9200acres it is 4040acres is plotted. The Congress government is only proposing an impact fee related to freehold lands which is owned by industries. Through land conversion, the state expects revenue of around ₹4,000 to ₹5,000 crore. Those who own land have every right to apply for conversion.

KTR must stop making hollow claims. The 30 percent figure KTR is quoting is not the land value. It is only the conversion fee. His comments on freehold and lease lands have no connection to each other. It was the previous BRS government that issued GOs to convert lease lands into freehold, IT minister, Sreedhar Babu said while addressing the Media a short while back.

This shocking allegation of land acquisitions amounting to ₹5 lakh crore is becoming a huge menace now. It has to be seen, what would be the reaction from the government henceforth as well.
