Former IT Minister KTR attracted a big controversy with his alleged controversial comments. Talking about the free bus provision for women KTR said that they have no objection with Women peeling garlic in the buses. Reacting to the comments made by Minister Sethakka he made these comments.

It is known that women can travel free in selected RTC services. However, a few videos showed women fighting for seats and weaving hair in the buses. At a meeting, KTR said that they don't have any objection to women doing these things as they want more buses.

KTR’s comments grabbed everyone’s attention. Seethakka did not like how the former Minister spoke and demanded an apology from him. She asked if this is the culture his father taught him and asked how he can pass such comments.

His comments created a big row and he is getting criticism from various corners. Seeing this KTR issued an apology. He said that he never intended to hurt the sisters with his comments and he is apologizing if anyone is hurt with the comments.

KTR said that he casually made these comments at a party meeting and if women are hurt with the comments he is sorry and he did not intend to hurt anyone.

KTR’s comments went to the notice of the Telangana Women’s Commission too. Taking a suo moto cognizance of the issue the Commission launched an inquiry. The Chairperson said that the comments made by KTR came to their notice and an inquiry was launched.

It looks like KTR wants to put an end to the controversy before it becomes way too sensational. KTR served as the Cabinet Minister for two consecutive terms and held crucial portfolios. Such comments coming from KTR were not expected.
