It looks like the efforts of the Congress party to put up a strong force in the Lok Sabha elections are short of the line. Despite the grand old party working hard on talking all the opposition parties together for the big fight that will decide the political land space of the country.

As parties with different ideologies came under one roof we are seeing fights and issues among the parties. Now the party faced a double blow as two parties said no to the alliance and announced a solo fight for the elections.

Earlier today, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee drew the first blood for the Congress and INDIA bloc by saying that there is no alliance for the Lok Sabha elections. Ruling out the alliance possibility, the Chief Minister said that her party will contest the elections alone in the state.

As if that is not enough, the Punjab Chief Minister rubbed salt into the wounds and said that Aam Aadmi Party will not have any alliance in the state for the Lok Sabha polls. Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that the party will go alone in the elections and will clean sweep them.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that AAP will not walk with the Congress for the elections and it will go alone. Expressing confidence in the party winning the Lok Sabha seats, he said that AAP will win all the seats.

The picture is not looking good for the Congress party. Ahead of the elections, it lost two allies making it weak. If the same trend continues then a few other parties might do the same.

While the exact reason behind the parties ending ties, many say that differences between the parties on the seat sharing is the reason. The parties are unable to come to a common opinion on seat sharing.
