Speaker Post: JDU, TDP Playing Their Cards?

We are done with the elections and BJP formed the government at the Centre. Unlike 2014 and 2019, the BJP could not reach the magic figure on its own. Janata Dal (United) and Telugu Desam Party came to its rescue. All eyes are on the Speaker elections to pick the head of the house.

The election is slated to happen at the end of this month's end. Ahead of the election, a piece of news is doing rounds that says that there is competition between JDU and TDP on the seeker post. Though the parties are part of the NDA alliance, they are said to be eyeing the Speaker post.

Earlier it was reported that TDP is pushing for the Speaker post as it was given the post earlier too. However, there is no information on what the BJP wants to do on this.

Ahead of the elections both JDU and TDP are said to be making strategies on how to get the post and gathering support from other parties so that they get the post and their person becomes the head of the house.

There is an unexpected shock here. It is said that the opposition parties are making the best of the situation. They are telling the two parties to get the post. We have seen a few parties directly asking TDP to take the post.

With this, a talk started that the INDIA alliance might help the two parties if they go for voting. BJP cannot be harsh with the two parties as it doesn’t have the required strength. If everything goes well we might see an interesting fight in the Speaker elections.
