Shocking: Rs 15 To Watch A Cricket Match In Pak?

Cricket is one of the most popular sports in the world and we can see big attendance in the stadiums. This is the situation in most countries. If we take the example of India, even the bilateral series see full attendance with fans cheering for the team. The US hosted the World Cup along with the West Indies and the matches attracted decent response despite high ticket prices.

Now news is doing rounds which alleges that the lowest ticket prices were fixed for the match at Rs 15 in Indian currency. This happened in our neighbouring nation Pakistan for a Test series which is quite shocking.

Pakistan will host a Test series against Bangladesh which will start from August 30. For the second test, the lowest price was fixed at 15 rupees which is PKR 50 in Pakistan currency.

Due to the low turnout of fans, the shocking decision is said to have been taken. Of late fans are not showing interest to come to stadiums resulting in empty stands. Even for the PSL, there was no big response.

With Rs 15 fans can come to the match reportedly and even the week pass is Rs 75 which is quite a shock. Rs 15 is the starting price of tickets and there are other tickets too.

This speaks volumes about the sad state of cricket in Pakistan which is in a crisis. Earlier there were reports that people are fighting for Atta and vegetables. As this is the situation people are said to be not interested in coming to stadiums.

In a bid to attract people to the stadiums the ticket rates were slashed massively. The organisers are hopeful that the call would give a fruitful outcome. Let us wait and see what happens next.
