The Chief Minister said that the Police would solve the case by Sunday and if the Police failed to do so then it would be transferred to the CBI. She said that the Police department in the state is the best and it can get the job done.
Having said that, the Chief Minister said the case would be handed over to the CBI. On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee reportedly took a dig at the Central agency CBI over its less success rate and said that despite this she would hand over the case.
Earlier last week, a 31-year-old doctor was found in a semi-naked stage. Layer the body was sent for tests and the reports said she was sexually assaulted before the murder due to bleeding.
