The Delhi High Court has today granted protection to Telugu hero Vishnu Manchu regarding his personality rights. This decision comes amid a legal battle where Manchu sought to stop defamation, copyright infringement, and unauthorized use of his persona for profit. The court recognized that Manchu had a strong case for a permanent injunction, stating that failing to act would cause him irreparable harm. This is regarding his ongoing fight against YouTube 'Thumbnails'.

Justice Mini Pushkarna, who presided over the case, issued several directives to prevent the creation and spread of defamatory content about Vishnu. This includes a ban on using his name, voice, or image without permission. The court also instructed YouTube and other platforms to remove any infringing content within 48 hours, emphasizing the need for immediate action against harmful material.

Vishnu Manchu's efforts extend beyond his personal case; he is actively working to combat derogatory content targeting actors and their families on social media. As the President of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), he has led initiatives to remove harmful YouTube links, successfully taking down 75 such videos so far. His advocacy aims to create a safer online environment for celebrities.

This ruling not only serves as a legal victory for Vishnu Manchu but also sends a clear message against the misuse of public figures' rights in the digital age. It empowers him and other actors to take collective action against defamatory content, ensuring they can protect their reputations and personal rights more effectively.
