The Bharatiya Janata Party which made tall claims before the elections fell short of expectations. In the highly intense Telangana elections, the party stood in third place by winning eight seats. Though the party won more seats than it did in 2018, even the big leaders lost elections this time.
Having done and dusted with the Assembly polls, the BJP had shifted its focus on to the Lok Sabha polls. The party wants to win a third consecutive win and this time it wants to spread its wings further in the Southern states. Telangana is one of the states where the party is looking strong.
To win more seats than it did earlier, the party is looking for credible candidates. Now it is said that Manda Krishna Madiga is likely to be fielded as the candidate from the Warangal Lok Sabha seat if everything goes well.
Manda Krishna Madiga is a famous name in the state given the fight he has been doing for the rights of the community. If he is given a chance as MP, then the party can get the votes from the community. This is said to be the reason behind the decision.
Moreover, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) chief Manda Krishna Madiga and Narendra Modi share good ties. Earlier the PM took part in the big meeting and said that timely decisions would be taken for the SC categorisation. Manda Krishna even called Modi as his big brother.
If this happens then it would be a big blow for former IPS Krishna Prasad and senior BJP leader Chintha Sambamurthy. It is said that the two pinned high hopes on the seat and want to try their luck if they get a chance. With BJP reportedly preferring Manda Krishna Madiga the two might get a big shock. We have to wait and see how the two would react if this happens.
