As per an estimation, the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be the costliest one in the world. On top of this, the parties gave tickets to some candidates who have a huge wealth to their names. Some candidates have assets worth thousands of crores.

But one candidate is getting all the attention as he is dubbed as the poor candidate with just Rs 500 to his name. He is an independent candidate. He is in the race for the second phase of elections.

We are talking about Laxman Nagorao Patil who is in the race from Maharashtra. He is the independent candidate from the Nanded seat in the state which will see the elections in the second phase. His affidavit became the talk of the town as he declared his assets worth Rs 500.

The second phase of Lok Sabha elections has thousands of candidates in the poll-bound states. The interesting aspect is that hundreds of crorepatis are in the race from the parties. Venkataramane Gowda is the richest candidate in the second phase with assets worth Rs 622 Cr.

On the flip side, some candidates are very poor.Laxman Nagorao Patil tops the list.Rajeswari KR(Rs 1000),Pruthvisamrat Mukindrao Dipwansh(Rs1,400),Shahnaz Bano(Rs2,000)and VP Kochumon(Rs 2,230) are the other poor candidates in the second phase.
