Leading tech company, Microsoft has issued a new communication to its workers after the Donald Trump administration imposed a new regulation of the H1B visa policy in United States. This communication is going to be a crucial one for the Indian community working in United States.
It is being reported that leading companies like Microsoft and JP Morgan have reportedly instructed their employees who are currently on H1B Visa must return to United States immediately.
Anyone who went to their home countries with a valid H1B with these companies are instructed to return on priority. This is primarily due to the new regulation imposed by the Trump administration, which would mandate companies to pay $100K if their employee arrives in the United States after September 21.
So all the leading companies in the United States, which have their private workforce from other countries have instructed to return to United States on priority in order to avoid the arrival fee.
Starting from September 21, any H1B visa holder who wishes to return to the United States must have his company pay 100K dollars to the United States government on arrival.
This is going to be the game changer for the visa industry, and we will be witnessing a significant number of companies letting go of H1B Visa workers in order to reduce on the 100 K burden that was imposed by the Trump government.
The Indian working community in the United States is already expressing deep concern with this new regulation imposed by the Trump administration, but sadly that is how things are going to be henceforth.
