The sensational honour killing incident in Miryalaguda area of Telangana, which claimed the life of a guy named Pranay is one of the most controversial incidents in the Telugu states history. Today, a crucial judgement on this case has been passed by the concerned court.

Incidentally, the man who murdered Pranay has been allocated the death penalty while others who are associated with this case, have been sentenced to lifetime in prison.

On this matter, Pranay’s father, Balaswamy said “This verdict should be a wake-up call for all those who have suffered many honor killings since this murder in Nalgonda. We lost a lot through Pranay's murder.

The case was won under the leadership of SP Ranganath with a 1600-page charge sheet and a hundred witnesses. Darshan Narasimha, who acted as a lawyer in this case, fought for justice without any favors. The courts and lawyers have proven that there is justice in this country.”

Subash Verma, who is named as the A2 in this murder case has been allocated the death penalty and more details in this regard will be out in the due course. Meanwhile, the others who have been found guilty in this case have been sentenced to lifetime in prison.

It is already known that Amrutha’s father Maruthi Rao who is the A1 in this case had already died. There are seven other accused in this case and one of them got the death penalty while other 6 got life in prison sentence.
