Nagarjuna Shares PM Modi’s Praise for ANR’s Philanthropy

Tollywood star Nagarjuna Akkineni today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House. During this special meeting, Nagarjuna presented a book titled "Mahan Abhineta Akkineni Ka Virat Vyaktitva" to PM Modi. This book was written by Padma Bhushan awardee and former MP Prof. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad who is also the National President of Vishva Hindi Parishad.
The book was released in honor of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) on his 100th birth anniversary. Nagarjuna shared a picture from the meeting on social media, expressing his gratitude for PM Modi's commendation of ANR's contributions to Indian cinema.
Meanwhile Nagarjuna shared a pic of him and Amala along with Modi holding Annapurna productions logo on Twitter. During the meeting, PM Modi appreciated ANR's immense contribution to the Indian film industry. He acknowledged that ANR played a key role in shifting the Telugu film industry from Chennai to Hyderabad paving the way for its growth. The Prime Minister also recognized Annapurna Studios and Annapurna College of Film and Media as significant institutions for aspiring filmmakers.
Nagarjuna also recalled how PM Modi mentioned ANR in his 117th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. The Prime Minister had included ANR along with other cinema legends like Tapan Sinha and Raj Kapoor. He noted that ANR was not just an actor but also made remarkable contributions in education, literature and social service.
