PM Modi Addressed Manipur Issue:What He Said?
The Prime Minister said that they are putting in their best efforts to bring the situation under control.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi faced intense attack from the opposition in the house on various issues including Manipur violence. Rahul Gandhi breathed fire on the government as the Leader of Opposition. Having faced the attack the Prime Minister gave it back to the opposition.
Probably for the first time, Narendra Modi spoke about Manipur Violence. Talking about the burning issue, Modi said that the situation improved there. On the same occasion, he targeted the opposition for trying to politicize the issue.
The Prime Minister said that they are putting in their best efforts to bring the situation under control. He said that Manipur is slowly returning to normality with the situation coming under control in most of parts. The violent incidents had come down. More than 11,000 FIRs were filed and more than 500 people were arrested, he said.
Finally, the Prime Minister spoke about the Manipur issue and shed light on what had happened earlier and what was going on. He said that the violence had come down and the situation is under control now.
Having said that he targeted the opposition saying that they were trying to politicizing the matter and that Manipur is ignoring them. Earlier Manipur chants were raised in the house when Narendra Modi was addressing the house.
On the same occasion, the Prime Minister gave his thoughts on the floods in Manipur. Saying that the state is dealing with a flood situation, Narendra Modi said the Union Government is offering the required help, and the teams were sent for help.
