There is no exaggeration in saying that we are dealing with a situation where any video or picture that appears online should be looked at more than twice to verify it. Many say that film celebrities, cricket celebrities kids, and politicians are fearing the deep fake trend. A few days back Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his concerns about the Deep fake trend. However, a person came forward claiming that he was in the video and said the same on Instagram.

For the past few days, deep fake videos and pictures of film stars and celebrities have been doing rounds on social media. Several concerns were raised from various corners. A video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi also went viral. The video has the PM doing garba which became viral. However, a person came forward saying that it was him who was in the video.

A person who introduced himself as Vikas Mahante said that when people are raising concerns about the deep fake video of Prime Minister Modi he wants to tell something that the person appearing in the video was him. He said that the videos are not deep fake but he is an artist.

On the occasion, the person said that he is Narendra Modi's lookalike and with this people invite him to various events but he won't do anything that demeans his stature. His post took everyone by a big surprise. However, Vikas is said to be a businessman based in Mumbai.

The whole row started when a deep fake video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral and created a sensation. Videos of Kajol and Katrina Kaif also went viral. With this, the Centre raised many concerns and took a key decision. Electronics & Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that new guidelines will be brought soon.
