When the players are going through a tough time, none other than Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi helped them deal with it.
In a heartbreak moment for the Indian fans, Men In Blue fell short of the World Cup dream. In the World Cup finals played at the Ahmedabad stadium, India was defeated by the Australian team. The Indian team which was unbeaten throughout the tournament was defeated in the World Cup finals.
No words can describe the emotional state of the Indian players who gave their best efforts and could not reach the win despite this. After the match, the players turned emotional and had tears in their eyes on the field.

The Prime Minister said that the Indian team had a phenomenal run in the tournament by winning ten consecutive wins and lauded the efforts put in by every player who is part of the team. The PM said that what the team did was special.
Talking about the final loss the Prime Minister said that it is part of the game and such things happen. Having said that the Prime Minister urged the players to be not sad about the defeat and Indians are proud of what the Men In Blue achieved in the tournament.
The dressing room video shows the PM talking to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma by placing his hands on their shoulders. He also interacted with players like Mohammed Shami and others. The video is now doing rounds on social media.
The Indian team had a dream run in the tournament as it won ten consecutive wins including the semis. Many predicted that India would win the finals as well and repeat the heroics of Australia which won 11 straight wins in the 2003 edition. But this did not happen sadly.
