MP From Own Party Shocks UK PM Rishi Sunak!

Indian-origin Rishi Sunak became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in a miraculous turn of events. When the country was dealing with the financial crisis he was given the big post. The PM post did not come to him easily. In the polls, he lost the post with a small margin and a woman won the polls.

However, she resigned from the post after a brief period. This created a vacuum and Rishi Sunak became the Prime Minister. However, he is not having a good time even after assuming the office. The opposition leaders are seeing everything he has been doing in a magnifying glass.

Now Rishi Sunak faced a big blow as a no-confidence letter was moved against him. Making things even worse the letter was given by his party leader. A letter has been sent to the concerned committee saying that enough is enough and Rishi should leave.

Andrea Jenkyns, Rishi Sunak's party MP had sent a letter to the 1922 Committee chairman Graham Brady in which she accused Sunak of getting rid of their leader Boris Johnson who was elected democratically.

“Enough is enough, I have submitted my vote of no confidence letter to the Chairman of the 1922. It is time for Rishi Sunak to go and replace him with a 'real' Conservative party leader,” the MP said on X sharing the letter she had written.

It would not be a shock if a confidence vote is held given the alleged setback he is having among the party leaders. Recently he sacked Suella Braverman as the Minister and this did not go well with the party and the leaders.

Now a letter was sent. If a few leaders come forward and support the confidence vote. If this happens then Rishi Sunak might face issues. Let us wait and see what happens.
