Mukesh Ambani Slips Four Places in Global Billionaires List as Net Worth Falls

India’s richest businessman, Mukesh Ambani, has seen a decline in his global wealth ranking. According to the latest billionaire rankings, Ambani dropped four places in the list of the world’s richest people after a fall in his net worth.
The recent decline came after shares of Reliance Industries closed slightly lower in the stock market. As a result, Ambani’s wealth decreased by around $490 million in a single day.
Ambani’s current net worth is estimated at about $86.9 billion. This drop has pushed him down to the 25th position in the global billionaire rankings. His wealth has fallen significantly this year, with an overall decline of around $20.8 billion since the beginning of 2026.
The change has also affected his standing in Asia. Ambani was previously the second-richest person in Asia, but he has now moved to the third position.
Chinese entrepreneur Zhang Yiming has moved ahead of Ambani in the Asian rankings. Yiming is the co-founder of ByteDance, the company behind the popular video-sharing platform TikTok.
His net worth increased sharply by more than $24 billion, taking his total wealth to about $92.8 billion. This rise helped him become the second-richest person in Asia.
Meanwhile, Gautam Adani continues to hold the top position in Asia. His net worth increased recently and now stands at around $117 billion. This keeps him ahead of both Ambani and Zhang Yiming.
At the top of the global rich list is Elon Musk. Other major names in the top rankings include Larry Page, Larry Ellison, Sergey Brin, and Jeff Bezos.
While billionaire rankings often change due to stock market movements, investors will be closely watching whether Ambani can regain his lost position in the coming months.
