A hearing was recently held in the Nampally court in response to a petition filed by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, alleging that Telangana Minister Konda Surekha made inappropriate remarks about his family. During the hearing, the court asked Nagarjuna why he had filed the petition. In response, Nagarjuna informed the court that Minister Surekha had made disrespectful comments, specifically regarding the divorce of his son, Naga Chaitanya, and actress Samantha.

Nagarjuna told the court, "Our family has a good reputation through the film industry and has gained national-level recognition, receiving many awards. Along with our work in films, we are also engaged in social service programs." He further added, "Minister Konda Surekha spoke rudely, claiming that our son's divorce was caused by former minister KTR. These comments have damaged our reputation, and criminal action should be taken against her."

He emphasized, "The words spoken by Minister Konda Surekha are all false accusations. She made these comments out of political misfortune. Our famous family has been deeply hurt by her statements." Nagarjuna also pointed out that "Her words were broadcasted on all television channels and published in newspapers, further damaging our family’s honor. Action should be taken against her."

Several family members, including Nagarjuna's wife Amala, son Naga Chaitanya, sister Naga Sushila, and niece Supriya Yarlagadda, were present in court to support him. The court recorded their statements as witnesses in the case.
