Latest Development In Akkineni Family's Case Against Konda Surekha
However, Minister Konda Surekha did not attend the hearing. Her lawyer cited prior engagements as the reason for her absence.
Akkineni Nagarjuna has filed a defamation lawsuit against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. In the defamation suit, Nagarjuna cited that her comments about his family caused significant mental distress. The Nampally court took up the petition and issued notices, asking the minister to appear in person on December 12.
However, Minister Konda Surekha did not attend the hearing. Her lawyer cited prior engagements as the reason for her absence. The lawyer requested additional time. The court considered the same and prompted the court to adjourn the hearing to December 19.
The controversy stems from earlier remarks made by Konda Surekha. She allegedly disparaged Nagarjuna's family while criticizing former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR).
Feeling that his family's reputation had been tarnished, Nagarjuna approached the court, which deemed the case valid for further proceedings. The legal battle continues as the next hearing date approaches.
On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya is married to Sobhita Dhulipala recently, on the 4th of this month. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna is also busy working on the films like Coolie and Kubera. Samantha also moved on and is busy with her other commitments.
