CID Moves Court Against Nara Lokesh: Suspense Continues!
Now it's the turn of his son Lokesh to face cases. The Amaravati Inner Ring Road case continues to trouble him
Ahead of the elections, the Telugu Desam Party is facing a flood of troubles. Party chief Chandrababu and his son Nara Lokesh are facing a few cases. Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and sent to prison. After a long legal fight, he was granted an interim bail followed by a regular bail.
Now it's the turn of his son Lokesh to face cases. The Amaravati Inner Ring Road case continues to trouble him. In what could be a big development in the case the investigating agency CID had moved the Court with a memo to seek the required directives.
CID knocked on the doors to seek directives to issue a non-bailable warrant to Nara Lokesh. The investigating agency cited CRPC 41 A violations by Nara Lokesh as the reason for this.
Lawyers representing the agency told the court that in the name of the red book Nara Lokesh was threatening the officers and hence sought directives to issue a non-bailable warrant against him.
On the other hand, Lokesh's lawyers countered these allegations and raised objections to the arguments. In response, the Judge asked them to mention the objections in writing. The hearing was adjourned to tomorrow.
It has to be mentioned here that earlier Nara Lokesh was questioned by the CID officers in connection with the case. He was served notices by the officers in the national capital Delhi. Lokesh attended the questioning and attended the office.
The alleged Amaravati Inner Ring Road scam talks about the irregularities that went into the purported change in the alignment of the Inner Road to gain certain benefits. Chandrababu Naidu and former Minister Narayana are the other accused in the much-talked-about case.
