The Nellore district is the preferred destination of spiritual travelers given the fact that the region has many temples. Nellore also has a big relevance politically. The district gave many big leaders including Cabinet Ministers. This is the significance the region has. The political observers say that the Nellore region can influence politics.

If we look at the previous elections, the YSRCP had a dream performance and almost swept the region. Time flew fast and the state is gearing up for elections. However, a survey was conducted in the Nellore district which says that the YSRCP might face a problematic scenario.

The survey titled Mood of Nellore said that YSRCP which won 10 seats in 2019 will win just six seats while the TDP is looking strong in the four seats. TDP+ Janasena alliance is strong in Nellore Rural with 52 percent votes while YCP has just a 43 percent vote share. Others will get a 3 percent share.

In the Nellore city seat TDP, Janasena alliance has a 52 percent vore share followed by YSRCP(44 percent) and others(2 percent). In the Gudur seat, the TDP+Janasena alliance has 50 percent votes while the YCP has 46 percent. Others have a 2 percent share. In the Venkatagiri seat, the alliance gets 51 percent while YCP gets 45 percent. Others will get 2,5 percent.

In the Sarvepalli seat, YCP gets 50 percent votes while the TDP+Janasena alliance gets 45.5 percent. In Kovvur YCP gets 49.75 percent, while the TDP+Janasena alliance gets 46.5 percent.

In the Sullurupeta seat, YSRCP would get 51 percent and the TDP+Janasena alliance would get 45.5 percent. Coming to Atmakur, YCP would get 49.5 percent followed by TDP+Janasena alliance with 46 percent. In Kavali YCP would get 49 percent, and the TDP+Janasena alliance would get 48 percent. In the Udayagiri seat, YCP would get 50 percent and the TDP+Janasena alliance would get 45.5 percent votes.
