Rescue teams are scouring mud and debris for survivors after catastrophic floods swept through northern Nepal, with 162 deaths now reported and hundreds still unaccounted for.
The final casualty count could be significantly higher than the current reported number, and that is expected to be the case as well.
More than 130 Indians are among those reported missing, while the disaster has destroyed homes, bridges, roads and hydropower infrastructure across Rasuwa and neighbouring districts.
The Indian government has also begun its relief response, with 10 tonnes of humanitarian assistance and essential medicines sent to Nepal.
It is heartbreaking to see several such videos of the Nepal floods, where water inflow is increasing drastically with a span of few seconds, which is giving no time for people to react either.
