India is friends with a few nations and has been maintaining good ties with them. The United Kingdom is surely among them. The ties became even stronger with Rishi Sunak becoming the Prime Minister. However new doubts arose on the ties between the two countries with the change in power.

The reason behind the doubts is the change in power. It is known that the Labour Party put up a strong force and already went past the magic figure. Keir Starmer is all set to become the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Everyone knows that Kashmir is a sensitive matter between India and Pakistan. Back in 2019, the Labour Party created a big sensation on the issue by saying that international observers should reach Kashmir. A motion was also passed which says Kashmir people should be given the decking power.

The Labour Party created a sensation by passing the motion under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn. Ahead of the elections PM candidate Keir Starmer tried to keep the anti-India image of elections and said that they would maintain good ties with India.

However, Keir Starmer’s comments are seen as a bid to see that the winning chances won't get diluted. Earlier the Indian-origin community was with the Labour Party. However, the community shifted to the Conservative Party due to various reasons.

Looking at the border picture the UK has been seeing an anti-India trend. The Khalistani movement is seeing significance in the UK. A few Khalistani supporters tried to storm into the Indian Embassy in the UK. When a few Khalistan supporters gathered outside the Embassy, security was increased.
