Ahead of the general elections, TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu slammed the then government on the liquor policy and the wrongdoings in the liquor policy. The veteran politician said that if the alliance comes to power then he would bring a lot of changes. It looks like the Chief Minister worked on this.

As per the media reports Andhra Pradesh would see a new liquor policy in the state soon with a lot of changes. The Policy not only revamps the department but also offers a few facilities for the drinkers.

The new liquor policy talks about sending the non-popular brands out and making popular brands available at the stores. The prices of the brands are expected to be cut down in the state. Moreover, a special focus would be made on permit rooms.

It is said that the liquor stores would have permit rooms in the state so that the drinkers can have a space to have their drinks. The timings of the liquor stores would also be changed as per the information to curb the illegal sale of liquor.

We have seen how the previous government faced immense criticism over the brands that were made available like Boom Boom and special status. The new government worked on this and it is said that such brands would not be available and the noted brands would replace them in the liquor stalls.

It is also said that the concerned officials would visit other states to study the liquor policies there and take any important points so that they can be implemented in the new liquor policy which is likely to come into effect on the 1st of October.
