Telugu Girl Killed In US: Suspect Arrested Or Not?

The Telugu community in the United States was delivered a brutal shock after Telugu origin girl Nikhitha was brutally stabbed to death by a man named Arjun Sharma who was supposedly her ex boyfriend.

The family of Nikitha Godishala has clarified that reports claiming the arrest of the prime suspect Arjun Sharma in India are completely false. Speaking to the media, the family said Arjun has not been taken into custody anywhere in the country and urged people not to believe unverified information circulating on social media and some platforms.

Nikitha, a 27 year old woman from Secunderabad, was found murdered in the United States, triggering widespread outrage and concern back home. Her family stated that they are in regular touch with law enforcement officials in Maryland and have been clearly informed that Arjun is still at large.

They are also coordinating with the Indian Embassy and concerned government departments to ensure that legal procedures are followed properly.

According to officials in the US, the process of completing formalities and sending Nikitha’s mortal remains to India may take a few more days. The family has requested authorities to speed up the process so that last rites can be performed without further delay. They also appealed to both Indian and American authorities to work together to track down the accused and ensure he faces justice.
