April Fool Prank: Nityananda Is Alive?

Self proclaimed godly man, Nityananda is usually not short of controversies. Something of this sort happened again yesterday as rumors were strategically spread saying he might be dead. But it turned out that this was just an April fools prank.

On April 1, 2025, representatives of self-proclaimed godman Nithyananda issued a statement refuting widespread rumors about his death.

They asserted that he is “safe and active,” dismissing reports that had been circulating on news portals and social media. The rumors, which quickly gained traction online, led to speculation about his whereabouts and health.

Nithyananda, who fled India in 2019 amid allegations of rape and sexual abuse, has since claimed to have founded a sovereign nation called ‘Kailasa.’

The timing of the death rumors, coinciding with April Fools’ Day, has led many to believe that it was a hoax. However, some reports suggested that the speculation arose due to his prolonged absence and lack of recent appearances. His representatives moved swiftly to quash the rumors, reaffirming that he is alive and continues his activities.
