Pressure on Pakistani origin singer in India: What he said?

It is already known that the Bollywood industry had imposed a ban on Pakistani actors working in Hindi cinema in India. This is due to the problematic relationships and lack of diplomacy between the two countries and their governing bodies.

Incidentally, the situation is particularly detrimental now after the Pahalgam terror attack attacks, and this has now resulted in indirect pressure on a Bollywood singer named Adnan Sami.

Adnan Sami recently responded sharply to comments made by a former Pakistani minister. Criticizing the Pakistani government system, Adnan stated that he would soon reveal the injustices he personally faced there. In a note shared on Instagram, he clarified that he harbors no hatred toward the people of Pakistan but has strong objections to the treatment he received from its authorities.

Adnan Sami, originally from Pakistan, acquired Indian citizenship in 2016. In 2020, he was honored with the prestigious Padma Shri award by the Indian government for his contributions to the field of music.

His recent comments against Pakistan’s governance have sparked wide discussions across social media platforms, with many eagerly anticipating the details he has promised to disclose.

The singer’s bold stance has drawn significant attention, particularly given his personal journey of shifting allegiance from Pakistan to India.

Though Adnan Sami is primarily from Pakistan, and his ancestral roots are from this country, he primarily operates from India. He even took Indian citizenship back in 2016 itself and consider himself as a fully Indian citizen.
