Janasena Wants 30% Seats But Will NDA Give It?
This is one of the principal reasons why the party confined itself to just 21 seats in assembly polls.
The Janasena party faced every interesting situation in the earlier assembly election in Andhra Pradesh, as it was a fight for survival for the Pawan Kalyan oriented party. This is one of the principal reasons why the party confined itself to just 21 seats in assembly polls.
However, it appears that the JSP has gained the significance and Andhra Pradesh political system after the historic 2024, result and Pawan Kalyan standing firm on this aspect now.
It is being established in principal that the Janasena party is preparing for a bigger fight in the upcoming local body elections, which are coming up next month.
Apparently, the Janasena party is preparing to contest in at least 50% of the local body election seats. This is going to be the principal demand that is going to be placed in front of the NDA alliance by Pawan Kalyan, and it is likely to be pushed forward by the entire party.
Considering the fact that the JSP had confined themselves to around 10% of Assembly seats in earlier election, it is natural that they expect a bigger number in the local elections now.
But it is going to be a tough task for Pawan Kalyan to negotiate with someone as senior as Chandrababu Naidu, and also the BJP leadership in Andhra Pradesh. Securing 30% of the local body election tickets is going to be a tough challenge now.
But in terms of alliance dynamic, every party should be treated equal and it is only natural for JSB to expect 30% of the local body election seats. But it will all come down to whether Chandrababu is actually interested in allocating as many seats to the party.
