Deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan appears to have launched a full battle against YSR Congress’s deadly power holders, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and his son, Mithun Reddy.
Pawan Kalyan has now instructed the Forest authorities to file cases against the Peddireddy Family for illegally occupying the forest lands in the Mangalam Peta region in Chittoor district.
According to the latest communication from the Andhra Pradesh forest department, it is a fact that encroachments have taken place in the Mangalampet forest lands of Pulicherla Mandal, Chittoor District.
In this regard, following the Indian Penal Code, we have registered cases under Sections 61(2), 20(1)(D)(2), 52(D) of the AP Forest Act. In this case, Sri Peddireddi Mithun Reddy is listed as A1. As A2, Sri Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy; as A3, Sri Peddireddi Dwarakanath Reddy; and as A4, Smt. Peddireddi Indiramma, their names have been recorded.
This comes shortly after Pawan Kalyan personally visited the areas and presented with video evidence of the same.
As per the Forest Act, we have filed a charge sheet according to the Preliminary Offence Report (POR), they have taken possession of the 32.63 acres of encroached land. Details of the cases have been submitted in court.
According to the 1968 Gazette, there are titles for 75.74 acres in the Mangalampet forest area. However, 32.63 acres of forest land have also been illegally occupied. They have misused forest resources. Damage has been caused to forest wealth worth approximately Rs. 1.26 crore.
With the deputy chief minister, launching search and attack against YCP strong men, it has to be seen what kind of consequences would be felt.
