Alliance With BJP: Janasena To Sacrifice Seats?
The suspense on the alliance episode in Andhra Pradesh was broken finally with the BJP’s entry
The suspense on the alliance episode in Andhra Pradesh was broken finally with the BJP’s entry. TDP and Janasena announced an alliance long back and there was no clarity from the BJP. For this, TDP and Janasena did all they could. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan met the bigwigs.
All of this worked well with the BJP joining TDP and Janasena. For the first elections AP faced after the state bifurcation in 2014, the three parties joined hands. After a long time, the parties came together.
It is known that TDP and Janasena announced the first list of candidates- 94 seats for TDP and 24 MLA seats. 57 seats were kept aside. As BJP is ready to be a part of the alliance the focus went on to the seats the BJP would get.
As per the media reports, BJP and Janasena would get 30 MLA seats and 8 MP seats. It is said that Janasena would lose a few seats and the party would make sacrifices as far as the seats are concerned.
To accommodate the BJP, Janasena might make the sacrifice is what is being said. Janasena was earlier allocated 24 MLA seats and 3 MP seats. For BJP, the party might lose a few seats.
It is being reported that one MP seat and 2 MLA seats which were allocated to Janasena might be diverted to the BJP. Both BJP and Janasena are desperate to make BJP a part of the alliance. So Janasena would happily say yes to sacrifice. Even if the Janasena won't accept this, the TDP would make it agree to this, say reports.
