The Andhra Pradesh government led by TDP took the liquor policy brought by the previous government seriously and it swung into action even before it came into power. The TDP-led alliance is in power in the state and it is taking active steps in this. In the house, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that a CID probe will be ordered into the wrongdoing to bring out the truth in the liquor policy.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also reacted to the liquor policy and made key comments. He said that Liquor ban is impossible in the state and there are a lot of challenges in implementing the same. Talking about the measures to be taken Pawan Kalyan said that de-addiction centers should be set up.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that it is impossible to implement a liquor ban and ten percent of the income will be spent on setting up de-addiction centres to help people who are addicted to liquor. Adding further he said that there are a lot of irregularities in the Excise department and the YCP leaders skipped the sessions as they should answer the questions.
