Pawan Kalyan Is Care Of Address For Kapus!

Caste is a key factor in Andhra Pradesh. It's not that caste is not prevalent in the rest of the country. But the prominence is high here. When it comes to politics, the caste factor is highlighted. Elections are seen as a fight between the castes. We cannot say that a party can win the elections with one community’s support.

But people own the head of the party. They show interest in walking with the party. If we can go back to the days of combined AP, the grand old Congress party had the image of Reddy party. After the bifurcation, the party lost its glory.

After the YSRCP was floated, the Reddy community shifted its support to the party. In some cases, YCP was seen as a Reddy party. However, TDP has been supported by all the communities. Later a few communities stopped supporting the party unhappy with a few government policies. TDP has a strong image of the BC party. However, the Kamma community considers it as its own.

While this is the case of two major parties in Andhra Pradesh, the third party also has the support of a community. Many say that compared to 2019 it is evident in 2024 that a community is owning the party. The political scenario is such that Pawan’s care of address is Kapus. Pawan often says he has no caste. But he had to draw political strategies at the end of the day.

Janasena is looking strong in the Godavari districts and the Kapu community owning the party is said to be the reason for this. However, it is said that the Kapus in Northern Andhra are not seeing Pawan as care of address. The main reason behind this is that the Turpu Kapu population is more there.

We can find OC kapu and BC Kapu here. The Northern Andhra regions have been in poverty and Turpu Kapu are considered poor. They were added to the BC list. In the Godavari districts, Kapus are OCs due to the availability of fertile lands. It is said that the Kapus in Northern Andhra oppose the OC Kapus for this reason.

Many say that Pawan became care of address for Kapus in only the Godavari districts. In regions like Nellore, Prakasam, and Rayalaseema districts Kapus are called Balija. It is said that Balijas have no connection to Pawan as they have their own ideology.

The community can also be seen as backward. They see Kapus in the Godavari district as rich. It is said that there is a difference in social class too. Considering this many say that Pawan will not have an impact on the community.

The Reddy community is dominant in the Rayalaseema region. Though the Balija community is also strong it is not active politically. With this, different Kapus living in different areas have different ideologies. Vangaveeti Ranga had good popularity in the combined state.

He did not get the image only because of Kapus. It is said that BC SC and other minorities also supported him. Interestingly Pawan is getting more popularity in Kapus in the Godavari districts. The younger generation in the community has a craze for Pawan. We have to wait and see how the impact would work politically this time.
