Andhra Pradesh was split into two states and we have Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There is an interesting relationship between the states. We see Hyderbad’s traffic coming down for festivals and other reasons as Andhra Pradesh living here move to their state. The recent elections are a big example of this.
When Andhra Pradesh went for the elections in May the roads became almost empty. Yet again a similar scene happened. All roads lead to Andhra Pradesh and it is said that the buses and trains are full of people rushing to reach Andhra Pradesh.
As per the media reports the pension distribution program is the reason for this. Earlier the government said the pensions would be handed over on the 1st of July. For this month the beneficiaries would get 7000.
With this, those who are the beneficiaries of the schemes living in Telangana are rushing to Andhra Pradesh to get the benefit. There are a few trains that run in the early hours from here to Andhra Pradesh and the trains saw a big rush, say reports. The same is the case with Andhra Pradesh too.
Looking at the math behind 7000, it includes three months arrears including the hiked amount of pension. Earlier 3000 was given to the beneficiaries. But TDP said that the amount would be increased to 4000 and the three months' arrears would be paid together. The total amount goes to 7000.
