On Sunday, September 8th, a Philippine pastor was arrested by a 2000 members police force during their manhunt. The poster named Apollo Quiboloy is wanted in the United States. Without providing more details, Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos said, “Apollo Quiboloy has been arrested” on his official Facebook page.

The pastor was in charge of human trafficking and was presented before Philippine court. Apollo founded 'Kingdom Of Jesus Christ' church in the Philippines which has millions of members. He is an ally of former president Rodrigo Duterte and calls himself 'Son Of God'.

The Justice Department of the United States charged Apollo Quiboloy for sex trafficking back in 2021. He would take girls aged between 12 to 25 as personal assistants or pastorals who were reportedly asked to get intimate with him. The police searched 74-acre compound for nearly two weeks to find him. They had to enter through helicopters as Quiboloy's followers closed the compound gate to prevent the police from entering their church.

“There was no doubt that he was here. The search took a long time because the place is really massive,” Brigadier General Nicolas Torre said. Davao region's police director said to DZBB radio, “I'm also thankful to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy for the realization that this is the right thing to do - which is to face the law.”
