Us: Police Union Addresses Jaahnavi Kandula's Death!

In an unfortunate turn of events, Indian student Jaahnavi Kandula passed away in the United States after a patrol vehicle hit her. Though the incident happened a few months back, it is in the middle of headlines due to the insensitive reaction of a cop.

A Seattle Police Officer named Daniel Auderer was given the job to look into the incident and make an assessment of the officer’s state who hit the girl. However, the reaction of the cop raised many objections and made the Indian community enraged. The bodycam recorded the officer laughing off at the girl's death.

The demand to take strict action against the cop who spoke ill about the Indian girl is gaining momentum. Amid this, Seattle’s police union released a video on the issue and said that what the bodycam recorded has no context.

The body said that the whole reaction was not recorded and the cop did not intend to make fun of this. Daniel Auderer has written to Seattle’s police union on the issue saying that the laughing reaction he gave was to the questions he would be asked by the lawyers negotiating the issue.

Highlighting the same, the Seattle police union said that the reaction of the cop was not covered in all the ways and the video without the context looks horrible.

The Police union went on to say that the videos that are doing rounds do not explain the full context and only one side of the story was covered. The other side of the video has not been made public yet, it said.
