The campaign has a key role in elections. How the parties place their campaign can change the fate. The way political parties use platforms has been changing over the decades. Earlier TV ads and newspaper ads were preferred by the parties. Now social media is the phenomenon and the parties plan their campaign accordingly.

Of late the Google ads are preferred by the political parties for their campaign. As the ads have good coverage the parties prefer them and spend big amounts on the ads. Now a list has come on the spending on the parties on the ads.

If we look at the overall spending this year BJP is at the top. The party is in power at the Centre and a few states and it is no wonder that it is at the top. Overall the BJP is said to have spent Rs 30 crores across the nation.

In Telangana between January 1 to March 3 as much as Rs 2.6 crores were spent with BJP being the top contributor with Rs 1.1 crore, CBC(Rs 50 lakhs), I-Pac(Rs 60 lakhs), and TDP(13 lakhs)

In the other Telugu state Andhra Pradesh, ads worth Rs 4.2 crore were recorded. I-PAC(Rs 2.5 crore), BJP(Rs 65 lakh), CBC(Rs 63 lakh), TDP(Rs 13 lakh), and YCP(Rs 13 lakh) spent on the ads.

Even in the elections held in 2023 in various states, BJP was the major contributor. In Karnataka alone, Rs 7.2 crore was spent on Google ads by BJP. In Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh as much as Rs 7.1 Cr was spent. Talking about Congress, the party spent Rs 4.59 cr in Karnataka which it won.
