The temple city of Ayodhya is decked up for the big occasion. In a couple of weeks, the much-awaited Ram Mandir will be inaugurated. January 22nd was picked as the date when the temple will be opened to the devotees. Nearly five years after the judgemnet was given the temple is slated to be inaugurated.
Believers of God are happy with the occasion to witness the massive occasion of the temple inauguration. Ayodhya is one of three disputed temple sites in the country. Massive arrangements were made for the occasion and all roads leading to the city.
While this is the mood of the nation, a few leaders are targeting the Ram Mandir with some or the other leaders. At regular intervals, we hear such comments from the leaders. The comments raise the doubt of whether the leaders are not happy with the inauguration.
Bihar Education Minister Chandra Shekhar joined the list of leaders with his latest comments. He said that the hospital is more important than the temple. Adding further he asked where people want to go between a temple or school.
“If you want education and want to become an officer, MLA, or MP, will you go to a temple or school?," the Cabinet Minister said.
It has to be mentioned here that earlier leaders used to say why we need a temple when there are so many temples already. Batting for an educational institution they said that schools should be constructed so that everyone can study.
Now the education Minister also made similar comments. His comments increased the political heat in the country with the BJP leaders lashing out at him.
Earlier Senior Congress leader Holalkere Anjaneya stirred a political row by comparing Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to Lord Ram. Saying that there is BJP’s Ram in Ayodhya he asked why the CM would attend the occasion.
Senior NCP leader Dr. Jitendra Awhad has sparked controversy by saying that Lord Ram is a non-vegetarian and he had non-veg during his Vanavasam. Later he issued an apology for the controversial comments. But at regular intervals, we are hearing such comments.
