Why Prashant Kishor Is Confident Of YCP’s Defeat?
Andhra Pradesh went for elections recently with a record polling percentage
Andhra Pradesh went for elections recently with a record polling percentage. Unlike the previous elections, there is a positive wave for any side. However, both the ruling and opposition sides are confident of big wins in the elections. We have to wait for a few weeks to know the clear winner.
Celebrated strategist Prashant Kishor created a sensation with his predictions on the results in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the YCP will taste a big defeat. He also alleged that Jagan is seeing himself as a provider and this won't work.
After the elections, Jagan made big claims that YCP would win more seats than it did in 2019. YCP won 151 seats and 22 MP seats earlier and Jagan said that the party will go past this. This would be a historic stint if YCP manages to do as no party managed to dominate the elections like that.
He went on to say that the whole will look at AP when the results are announced. The Chief Minister also countered the claims of Prashant Kishor and said that he changed his words. We will win more seats than we won when PK was with us. The I-PAC team did a phenomenal job, he said.
Days after this, Prashant Kishor reacted to these comments. He said that he will stick to his comments and YCP will taste defeat. He gave an interview to noted journalist Barkha Dutt. During the interview, he repeated his views on AP elections and said YCP will lose.
Giving a reason for this, Prashant Kishor said that no leader accepts defeats before the counting and he had seen this in his experience. He also said that all the leaders say the same be it Jagan or Chandrababu Naidu.
When asked about Jagan’s comments, Prashant Kishor said that everyone will know who will be right if we wait till June 4th to know the results. His confidence caught everyone’s attention as he sounded confident of Jagan’s defeat. No one knows the reason behind his confidence.
Prashant Kishor also gave his views on national politics. He said that the BJP might get the same seats it won in 2019 or more seats than that. He said that people are not satisfied with BJP and Modi but they are not angry at them.
