Sharad Pawar who missed the meeting on Monday reached Bengaluru on a special flight to attend the meeting on Tuesday. This cleared the doubts about the opposition's unity. Sharad Pawar is the key coordinator for the previous meeting. But the situation turned upside down with his brother's son Ajit Pawar bringing a crack in the party. With Ajit Pawar's camp meeting Sharad and requesting him to not attend the meeting, many had the doubt that something is happening. But Sharad Pawar's attendance almost cleared this.

Power in 11 States:

It is said that the chiefs of the parties addressed the opposition parties meeting. Or else they are announcing their stands. As part of this, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge made a sensational announcement. He said that they(opposition parties) are in power in 11 states. In total, 26 parties attended the meeting. They acknowledged that they are issues between them at the state level. However, they said that the issues are not ideological

We Will Not Let BJP Win:

Kharge said that the opposition parties will be united for the next Lok Sabha polls and we will not let the BJP win. The BJP could not even win 303 seats on its own in previous elections, he said. The party contested with the ally parties them. Kharge also alleged that BJP used their strength and forget them later.

We Are Not For Prime Minister Post:

Even if the opposition parties run the elections together, the Congress party would be the largest. All the parties are regional ones except for AAP. So Congress will play the big brother role. But Kharge made a sensational announcement. He said that the Congress party will not take up the PM post if the alliance comes to power and they have no interest in this. Interestingly, he made the comments at the meeting which was held in Congress-ruled Karnataka.

Who Would Be The PM Candidate?

The BJP is already criticising the opposition parties meeting including the Congress. The party is demanding who is the PM candidate. With Kharge making sensational statements, clarity is needed on the candidate. There are already a few leaders from the opposition parties who are PM candidates. Sharad Pawar, Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal are on the list. Kharge's announcement said Congress is not in the race. We have to see who would be the candidate.
