Leading Tollywood producers, Dil Raju and Mythri movie makers came under the scrutiny of the IT department as such operations were held for three consecutive days at the residences that belong to these producers.
After three days of searches at the houses of Dil Raju, Mythri Naveen, and Ravi Shankar, the operation came to an end today. Earlier in the day, the IT officials took these producers to their respective offices and questioned the sanction of foreign funds in their accounts which came through overseas collections of their films.
As per inside reports, the IT officials asked these producers about the collection posters that they are publicising in question to them about the actual theatrical returns. The point of concern here appeared to be that the official felt the collection posters are the genuine collections of the film, and this is to be accounted for.
However, it is being heard that these producers clarified to the IT department officials that these cinema posters are not to be taken seriously. They reportedly stated that posters are only to generate interest among audiences and create a perception for a film. They made it clear that these collection posters are not factual and do not represent the actual collections of the film.
While this practice has been in effect for many years now, it has to be seen how the IT department representatives will react to what was said to them by the producer regarding this collection posters now. Will this mark and end to the unrelenting fabricated collection posters in Tollywood at least now? Only time will tell.
