Currently, the world has so many people who panic over the smallest things, and then go crazy when a real crisis arrives. However, some are absolutely the opposite of that. They are worried about small things in daily life, but stay completely calm during a real crisis. Though it sounds strange, there is a reason behind this.

When you’ve lived in stress, unpredictability, or chaos linked with emotional upheaval for a long time, your nervous system starts treating survival mode as normal. So when the smallest things like a delayed message from a friend, or criticism online, or some uncertainties, or small mistakes happen, these people feel triggered, and they feel like such things are impossible to handle. But when a real emergency happens, these people are calm and focused, not because they are under good pressure, but because their nervous system is conditioned to function in chaos, which sounds familiar to them.

Some doctors say, “The goal of healing isn’t to become stronger at surviving. It’s to teach your mind and body that peace is safe too. When your subconscious no longer expects danger everywhere, you stop reacting from fear and start responding with clarity, confidence, and emotional balance”. Well, this might sound different, but one should heal themselves through self-help books, doctors or other mental wellness experts’ support, such that they overcome this.
