It is already known that the Pulivendula ZPTC constituency is witnessing the local body elections for the first time in 30 years, and these are being held in a hostile condition. After viewing the kind of electioneering that is happening, former CM YS Jagan fired on Chandrababu Naidu on this matter.
In order to snatch a small ZPTC seat in Pulivendula constituency and forcibly capture another small ZPTC seat in Ontimitta, Rajampet, Chandrababu Naidu has acted like a thug, committed atrocities, and murdered democracy.
He is steering the state towards a rule of rowdies. Misusing his powers as Chief Minister, taking officials under his control, and deploying the police, he has hijacked this election like an extremist. Today, when democracy has been gravely wounded, it is truly a Black Day.
We demand that the State Election Commission cancel the Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC by-elections and conduct fresh elections under the supervision of central forces.
With Chandrababu Naidu in the Chief Minister�s chair, democracy in the state is nothing but a hollow show. The Constitution, law, justice, ethics, rules, and democratic practices have once again been proven to be mere words and ornamental phrases in this state.
It is the duty of the government to ensure that people can vote without fear, to assist them accordingly, to provide proper facilities, and to create a peaceful environment. But instead, Chandrababu used the government machinery to carry out rigging directly through his own staff and the police. How can this be called an election? He may be able to rig votes, but not win people�s hearts, Jagan stated on the issue.
On that note, it must be established that the TDP is very confident about winning the Pulivendula ZPTC seat now.
