Gandhi scion Rahul is not having a good time with the defamation cases. The comments he made on different occasions landed him in trouble and made him face issues. We have seen this with Modi comments. A defamation case was slapped against him. The issue saw a few developments.

In another case, the MP was directed to be present before the Court on the 2nd of July. A special court gave the orders hearing a petition. Earlier he passed alleged comments on Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The case goes back to 2018.

At a press meet, Rahul Gandhi reportedly made objectionable comments against Amit Shah. Taking a strong objection to this, a BJP leader filed a complaint back in 2018.

In connection with the same case, a special court directed Rahul Gandhi to be present personally on the 2nd of July. He was directed to record his statement before the Court in the defamation case that was filed against him.

During the arguments, Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer reportedly opposed this and said the leader who filed the case is not related to the matter and sought permission for Rahul’s absence. However, the Court did not accept this and asked Rahul to be present personally.

Earlier Rahul Gandhi faced a tough time with his Modi comments row. He was convicted in the case by a local court. He moved the Higher Court to get relief in the case and escape the conviction.
