Firebrand leader Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy served as the Chief Minister of the combined state of Andhra Pradesh. Under his leadership, the AP wing of the Congress party became strong and produced many leaders. No words can describe the role he played in empowering the poor through his schemes.
Today is the 75th birth anniversary of YSR. Leaders and fans are paying tributes to the leader on the occasion. Not just in Andhra Pradesh, the Congress party in Telangana also held the celebrations in a big way.
On the occasion, Rahul Gandhi made some key comments. The Leader of the Opposition recalled YSR and said that the state would have been different had YSR been alive. Rahul Gandhi dubbed YSR as the true people’s leader and he always thought for the good of the people.
Adding further Rahul Gandhi said that had YSR been alive the picture of AP had been different without any issues and tears. Recalling his relationship with YSR, Rahul Gandhi said that he learnt a lot of issues from YSR and he drew inspiration from YSR to start the Padayatra.
On the occasion, Rahul Gandhi made key comments on YSR’s legacy and taking forward it. The Gandhi scion said that Sharmila would take forward YSR’s legacy in the state. His comments are now doing rounds.
Rahul Gandhi and YSR shared good ties with each other. Earlier YSR said that Rahul Gandhi should be made the Prime Minister. YSR’s loyalists KVP, Undavalli, and others stressed about this and urged Jagan to think about this. Earlier KVP expressed his dissatisfaction with Jagan on this and said YSR wanted to make Rahul the PM while Jagan is against the Congress.
