The sporting landscape of India saw a historic addition as Mega Powerstar Ram Charan inaugurated the first Archery Premier League (APL) at the Ramleela Maidan, Delhi, on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. The celebrated actor’s presence drew massive crowds, whose cheers peaked as he performed the symbolic Raavan Dahan to launch the league, signifying the triumph and focus central to archery.

Known globally for his iconic performances, Ram Charan captivated the audience with a passionate speech on the importance of backing Indian sports. "For the first time in India and the world, we have a premier league for archers. We should appreciate the focus, the discipline, and the strength the sport has," he stated, urging collective support for the league's success.

The opening ceremony was a stunning fusion of culture and modern sport, featuring cultural showcases, the league anthem launch, and grand team presentations. Visionary Anil Kamineni, Chairman of the APL, spearheaded the initiative, bringing together the Archery Association of India, World Archery, and the Sports Ministry.

The APL is set to host 36 of India’s finest archers and 12 international stars in a unique mixed format under lights at the Yamuna Sports Complex, promising to redefine world-class competition from October 2 to 12.
