The Andhra Pradesh High Court granted anticipatory bail to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma on Tuesday in connection with multiple cases filed against him for allegedly posting objectionable content on social media. RGV reportedly targeted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Lokesh.

The court directed Varma to cooperate with the investigation and appear before the police when summoned. The cases were registered at police stations in Maddipadu, Tullur, and Ravikamatham based on complaints lodged by TDP and Jana Sena activists.

The controversy is from promotional content RGV shared on social media in March this year for his movie Vyuham, which allegedly contained morphed and inappropriate visuals involving the political leaders. RGV filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. After hearing the case, the court granted him anticipatory bail, offering temporary relief while emphasizing the need for his cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

On the other hand, RGV evaded the police investigation twice but he is seen actively interacting with the media persons.
