Grandchildren Recall Fond Memories With Thatha Ramoji Rao!

Ramoji Rao the Media Mogul breathed his last earlier last week. He came from a humble background but that did not stop him from establishing a business empire spread across the sectors. Ramoji Film City is dubbed as the largest film complex in the world given the facilities it offers.

His grandchildren had a special bond with their Thata. They shared the bonding and the fond memories they had with him. They said that he is very close to them and he instilled many values in them.


Sahari Cherukuri, the eldest among the Grandchildren said that he is very kind hearted and she had a good rapport with them. She said that she learned the importance of time from her Grandfather. Sahari also recalled the advice she received from him. Ramoji Rao told her that they should show the world what they are capable of and the world should know him as their grandfather.

Talking about the love Ramoji Rao has for work, Sahari said he used to tell one thing that he should die while working and there is no reason to live if he cannot work.


Keerthi Sohana said Ramoji Rao had his love and passion for work and he finds happiness in work. Highlighting what makes Thatha special she said that he always wanted to do something new as there will be nothing special in following others.

Walking down memory lane she said that it was Ramoji Rao who did the Kanyadaan. Despite having no belief in such things he did it for her happiness and this memory she cannot forget in her life.


Bruhati said they are lucky to see him closely as family members and learn a lot of things from him. She said her grandfather treated all the five grandchildren equally and he used to say they should work together in taking the group to greater heights.

Saying that Ramoji Rao often talked said that regional languages would not lose importance and we should change as per the aspirations of the people she said they would take ETV Bharat to bigger heights as he dreamt.


Sujay said that Ramoji Rao is an example of a disciple and he is a man of values. He said he cannot forget the memories he had with his grandfather as he used to share the interesting things from his life.

Sujay said his grandfather gave him the goal of reaching a position where people should recognise Ramoji Rao as the grandfather of Sujay and wanted him to reach the position. On many occasions, he took promises from him.


Divija recalled the memories she had with Ramoji Rao. She said that it was Ramoji Rao who introduced her to books and hence she got an opportunity to read a wide range of books. She said that in the 17 years of her life, she did not see her grandfather get angry.

She became emotional remembering the last words her grandfather spoke to her. When she asked her grandfather about the victory of Virtue after the results were out he told her that Virtue won't win easily and people should fight for it and make sacrifices. These were the last words her grandfather spoke to her.
