Veteran Media personality Ramoji who is credited for bringing revolutionary changes in the media arena is no more. He breathed his last in the early hours leaving an unmatched legacy behind. He had an inspirational journey. He is 87. Ramoji Rao breathed his last while undergoing treatment.

It is said that he was taken to a hospital earlier this week when he complained of discomfort. He has been undergoing treatment. Sadly the treatment could not save him and he breathed his last. Condolence messages have been pointing in for the Media Baron.

Ramoji Rao was a sensation in the media space. Eenadu can be dubbed as a game changer among Newspapers as many say it is the first colour newspaper. It also played a key role in TDP coming to power. Eenadu can be seen as a big example of what a paper can do during the elections.

Ramoji Rao later entered the TV space with ETV which covers news across the languages. Even for two Telugu states, ETV has different channels-ETV Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Ramoji Rao introduced many pathbreaking programs like Annadata and others.

There are many TV channels but ETV has been maintaining a legacy that viewers won't miss the 9 PM news which covers what happened in the day.

Ramoji Rao also ventured into filmmaking. Under the Usha Kiran Movies banner, the veteran personality produced many films. He is a proud recipient of the Filmfare Awards South, Nandi Awards, and National Film Award for the films he made in Tollywood.

In a bid to honour his valuable contributions, he was honoured with Padma Vibhushan India's second-highest civilian award in the country.

After the news of his demise broke out people from the political arena and film industry are condoling his death. The Telangana government said his last tires would be held with the state honors.
