Court Slaps Convict With Death Penalty In Aluva Rape Case!

No matter how many strong laws are brought to stop the abuse and attacks on women and girls they are not stopping. At regular intervals, we are forced to hear about heinous crimes. Irrespective of their age, victims are targeted and attacked. Even small girls are also not spared. This is the sad reality we are living in.

To shed light on the problematic situations, a heinous crime came to light earlier this year. The convict attacked the five-year-old victim like a beast and raped her. The animal went on to kill the small baby by slitting her throat. The incident created a sensation in the country back then. Now the court slapped the convict with a death penalty.

A court in Kerala’s Kochi gave a sensational verdict in the Aluva rape and murder case and slapped the convict with a death sentence. The verdict was given on Tuesday by the court.

Going into details, a family from Bihar migrated to Kerala for work. A five-year-old kid was playing on the 28th of July. Ashfaq Alam kidnapped her and took her away. He gave her a chocolate and took her to a deserted place. He then raped her and killed her.

The victim’s parents filed a complaint saying that their daughter was missing. A few hours after filing the complaint, they found that she was kidnapped by Ashfaq Alam. When they arrested him it was found that the kid was no more. With this, he was arrested and taken into custody.

The convict was found guilty in the case on November 4. A few days later, the Court gave the verdict and awarded him the death penalty under IPC section 302 and life-term sentences for five other offenses under the POCSO Act.
